The story

Formed in Bogotá in 2022 under the direction of Pablo Araoz ("Mambe"), The Toughers emerged as a supergroup of seasoned players drawn from Colombian and Latin American reggae, jazz, and alternative scenes. With members from genres like hardcore, salsa, funk, and reggae, they sought to explore the intersections of Caribbean rhythms and Latin textures.

Their debut album, Eclipse de Soul, was recorded in high spiritual and musical energy, captured under a solar eclipse in Mambe's jungle studio, and reflects both homage and evolution of classic styles. From there, singles like "Abrakadabra," "Trinity," and their adaptation of "Porque Te Vas" reinforced their sonic identity and cultural resonance in Colombia and beyond.
